Vampires, Spiders, and Pirates – oh my!

The San Diego United Lions Club (SDULC) held their inaugural Halloween Bowl-A-Thon during the last part of October 2018, and it was a ‘SPOOK-TACULAR” success!

Along with the SDULC Lions, the local community came out to support the event filling eight bowling lanes. There were goblin treats and ghostly prizes for every single attendee, and raffle prizes that never seemed to end. Children and adults alike were “dressed to impress” so costume awards went out to several winners for Best Costume. So many champions that day –

We should also mention that the SDULC event had the support of our very generous corporate sponsors as well as individual and family contributors. A special thank you to our title “GOLD” Title sponsor Morgan Stanley, SILVER sponsor Ching & Seto Law Firm, and our BRONZE sponsor Jasmine Seafood Restaurant. Du’terte donated several plant arrangements along with a hand-painted silk scarf.for our raffle and door prizes.

Mercedes Benz of San Diego donated a very luxurious car detailing gift certificate. San Diego Oasis Lifelong Learning gift certifcate rounded out our raffle prizes. Jasmine Seafood Restaurant also donated a gift certificate along with their Bronze level sponsorship. Finally, the Mira Mesa Lanes also contributed to our outstanding event by generously providing bowling shoes at no cost to our attendees and allowing us a little extra time on the lanes at no-charge to get situated with our decorations and announcements.

Individual Contributors included Mr. and Mrs. Michael Brandenburg, Mr. Jack King and Ms. Debbie Lamb, and Mr. and Mrs. Chun Lee.

Everyone enjoyed the afternoon that was filled with laughter and good times, and the SDULC accomplished their objective to their ghoulish delight! Mark your calendars for next year’s ghostly and crackly bowling event. Thank you San Diego for joining us as we raised funds for those in need. See you next year at the batty, bizarre bowling event with your hair-raising haunted hat.
