Our Mission

To unite and empower our multi-ethnic volunteers who are committed to serve the underprivileged members of our local communities, to meet the humanitarian needs around the globe where appropriate, as well as to encourage peace and promote international understanding through Lions Clubs.

Our History

San Diego United Lions Club (SDULC) of Lions Club International Multiple District 4L-6 was organized and chartered on May 17, 2011. Past District Governor Blessie Trott served as our sponsor and Past District Governor Bucky Blottin served as our guiding lion. Dr. Allen W. Chan was our Charter President.

In November of 2012 SDULC had the honor to sponsor and guide the formation of the new San Diego Elite Lions Club. At that time SDULC also established the San Diego United Lions Cubs Club (SDULCC) program for our young volunteers at and under the age of twelve. The Charter President of SDULCC is Cady Mariano. The San Diego United Leo Club for young volunteers between the age of 13 and 18 was also chartered on July 28, 2015 with Cady Mariano as the Charter President. In 2017 SDULC sponsored the founding of the Torrey Pines Leo Club under the leadership of Charter President Richard Ni.

Lions Clubs International (LCI) is the world’s largest service organization.
