California Lions Friends in Sight – Vision Screening Event

On the 30th of July, SD United Lions and LEOs joined the California Lions Friends in Sight vision screening event at Salvation Army Otay Mesa hosted by the Gift of Sight Lions Clubs.

SD United LEO President Alice Yue and her mother supported the entire event and pitched in where needed. Balboa Zone Chair and SDULC Membership Chair Mike Brandenburg joined the vision screening after attending the Veterans Village Stand Down in the morning.

Volunteer Coordinator Mary Manning was thrilled to have LEO support at the event and commented on how quickly LEO Alice picked up the computer tasks needed to keep the operation running smoothly. Mary hopes to see more LEOs supporting future Lions Vision Screening events. 

Approximately 115 patients were seen at this event. Yes, United we serve!!!
