The City of San Diego Recreation Council, Mira Mesa Town Council, and Mira Mesa Senior Center held their first ever Veterans Day Celebration on November 11, 2018. The event was held at the Mira Mesa Memorial Park located at 8460 Mira Mesa Blvd., San Diego, CA. SDULC Lion volunteer assisted in program development, protocol, speeches, and remembrances on this special day that was attended by San Diego city leaders, the Commanding Officer of Marine Corps Air Station Miramar, the community, and most importantly, military veterans from all branches of service.
Following the ceremony, refreshments and variety of entertainment followed for all to enjoy. Happy Veterans Day to all veterans and their families!
